The Women's Infrastructure Network (WIN) and The Infrastructure Collective invite you to an exclusive site visit, hosted by Holmes, to witness the transformation of the iconic Wellington Town Hall. Join us on Wednesday 7 May at 1:00pm.
The 120-year old unreinforced masonry Wellington Town Hall is being placed on new foundations, fitted with base isolation, and strengthened in other ways as part of its redevelopment into a performance venue. With the structural phase nearing completion, this visit offers a unique opportunity to see the beginnings of the architectural fit-out and the careful reinstatement of heritage elements.
This project is a cornerstone of Wellington’s civic precinct redevelopment, blending seismic resilience with the restoration of one of the city's most treasured buildings.
PPE is required: Attendees will require steel cap boots, hi-vis vest/jacket, protective glasses (eyeglasses acceptable) and a hard hat (no spare PPE will be available on site).
